I'll grab a photo of mine.
Cant see much now as I cut a hole in it to mount my refrigeration condenser.
When it started out , I was told it had a full length steel body the same profile as the cab. A proto personal carrier.
The PO cut the rest off behind the cab so it had no cab rear when I bought it.
It also came with Borg Warner rear diffs with factory diff locks so cant be considered a run of the mill Perentie.
Of course now I made it into a FC it looks totally different.

Had a closer look at mine this morning. The front right rivets head has popped off.

This is the panel being discussed:

Continuing this discussion, what are the specs on the genuine Landrover rivets?

Trying to find out why they are so expensive.

I found this thread and I can get those rivets from a local commercial fastener supplier at $7.20 for 100.
same specs; closed aluminium with a steel mandrel, 11.5mm long, 4.8 mm Dia. max grip 6.4mm etc.

Is there anything special about the Land Rover rivets worth paying for?

Also wondering about the steel mandrel. Why?? would it not be better to have an entirely aluminium rivet?

    cheers

    Chris
