    Hard top roof

    Hey Gurus,

So the time has come to replace the tired, ripped old canvas on the Perentie.
I was wondering about going down the route of a hard top conversion but I like the comfort of knowing there's a roll bar should I need it.

So my question is does anyone know whether the standard defender roof fits over the Perentie roll bar?

    Cheers, Tom

    Hi Tom,
It is not possible to fit a full hard top with the roll bar attached because the roll cage is to high and the brace is also attached to the top of the tub on both sides.
A Defender single cab can be fitted easily if you can find one.
    Regards,

I have seen a photo of someone who had a full hard top on with canvas sides, I don't know what they had done to do it though.

Anyone with more info? I can't remember where I saw it, either here or remlr.

Pretty sure it was here, he'd shortened the ROPS to fit underneath the hardtop

That's the sort of idea I was leaning to. I like being able to roll the sides up in the summer, but being able to fit a proper roof rack and a console

Cheers for all the help guys
