    RFSV Dickie Seat Removal

I was hoping that someone on the forum may know the procedure to remove the rear dickie seat out of the RFSV Upgrade model. I have to remove it for licensing in WA and I have had a bit of a go at it this evening but have only been able to remove the bolts that secure the 2 mounting bars that the seat bolts into. Unfortunately the seat wont come out with the bars attached and I am not sure how to remove the 2 bars from the seat at this point in time. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Regards Warrick.

I removed mine thanks to the gap left at the end of the storage boxes, I assume this is the way it's done. The gap is enough to extract the seat with cross members still attached as one unit.
Tilt the seat back whilst bringing the base forward and guiding the cross members through the gap. The tie-downs on the floor need to be cleared, this is where a second person can help, but I almost got mine out on my own.

Thank TK_co and Greg. Really appreciate your help with this. I will have a go at trying to slide mine out the way you described Greg. I did see that gap last night but thought it may be a bit too tight. Good to hear it can be done though. Will let you know how I go. Regards Warrick.

Just had a quick look Greg. Do you have to take out the lugs the hold the webbing up against the rear of the tail gate? Looks to me like it is the reason it won't slide up through the gap but I could be wrong. Image below hopefully.

Hi, I didn't have to remove anything, it will come out. The trickiest part was clearing the lugs on the floor with the rear edge of the seat. Lift and pull and tilt at once. It did take some jiggling but it does come out easily. Good luck! I found that muttering colourful language helped, but in the end had another set of hands help me jiggle it out.

Pretty good design, means it can go back in without too much fuss at all.

Digging this up as I'm having the same issue. Managed to get the beams the seat sits on unbolted however the gap at the rear of the storage boxes seems 2-3mm too narrow to fit through. Was on my own so perhaps an additional set of eyes/arms may help.

    Anyone have any tricks/tips/suggestions?

I ended up removing the seat out from the beams. It took a bit to work out the system but it was the only way I could get the seat out. Good luck!
    Regards Warrick.
