If you decide you're serious about buying one, you'd be silly not to buy the book. I bought it after i bought my pwrentie, and consequently realised how lucky i got in a lot of areas. The $50 could save you thousands. Cheers

Good to talk to you today Is Vic There.

You don't have to buy Daves book, you pay to use this forum and the free advice that comes with it.

Saying that Dave was once in the army and he drove many a Land Rover, his book for those seeking further insight to the Perentie is a good buy, and Dave' s head is also full of useful information.

Good luck on those we talked about.

    Thanks Mate,

Keep looking at the auction, think its quite sill on Greys to have them all ending at the same time! I've got my eye on two and would bid for the other on if the bidding went over my budget but can't!

Oh well only another 4 day 3 hours and 50 minutes to go!

They will be more so don't worry if you do miss out.

Don't buy those with the holes in the floor.

I know, I have my eye on two so if they go over my budget I'll wait until the next lot, how often do they get released?

Wow, thanks all for the positive reviews on the Perentie buyers guide!
Vic, I wrote this guide just for you ;-) and all those like you.
You can spend a good many hours trawling this forum for info and get a fair idea of what you are looking at.
But, there are quite a few things in the guide that you can only get by being in the system our knowing someone who was.
Vehicle specific corrosion issues, GM120 decoding tables and info on where you don't want a vehicle from.
If you want a vehicle inspected in Brisbane, I know a bloke with 40 years experience as an army mechanic.

All the best and happy hunting.
    Cheers, BDave.
