He owns a construction company, build anything from a airport runway to a pipe line.

They have a company that hires Perenties out. Not Safaris, thats Africa, more like hire a land rover and drive around NSW.

Good on him. Glad to see there is someone out there single handed keeping the resale value of my Perentie up there. Hope he buys 40 more! Good idea for a tourist business. I would imagine that it would appeal to wealthy foreigners who want to have an Aussie outback adventure.
    Regards Warrick.

I think I was bidding against him in the Perth auctions earlier this year. From memory I think he brought 3 RFSV's but I may be wrong.
    Regards Warrick.

I think the venture is aimed at back packers who only require the most basic of things, they tend to like that sort of thing, so plenty of business there.

Wealthy tourists don't normally drive around in 25 year old vehicles that resemble a tractor with no air con or the glam camping accessories. They want quality and comfort.

You would be surprised what wealthy tourists want! Crocodile Dundee has a lot to answer for. Just imagine how popular an outback adventure buisness like this would be if Major Les Hiddons had of won an Academy Award as the Bush Tucker Man!
    Regards Warrick.

    You are right there, Warwick.
Experiential tourism is the buzz phrase wih Boomers and Gen X/Y ers for good reason.
AWOL will be offering lots more than budget Back packer options.
Juddy, did you check out whats on offer on the Link provided?

No Dave last time I looked, nothing took my eye. ( for me )

But I was going to ask about trips involving the local schools, they seem to have the big 6x6 with lots of seats, would be good for field trips etc, and something a bit different.

However If they did tag alongs for current owners, that would be good.
