the GS doesnt have the mounts for the FFR frame works.

you can get 2x n70 under the seat.

you can also put a shelf over the sponsons up against the back of the seat box and get 6x n70s in there.

You could also fabricate a removable box to sit in the middle between the seats just above the gear box. There's plenty of room there and easier than FFR drawer conversion.

So, is the battery box frame in the FFR welded to the chassis or something? I can see why the OP want to replicate this - even if it may not be the simplest solution. I'm looking at getting a GS soon, and I was thinking of doing this also.

So, are the frames available, or does someone have some good pics of one, and where it is mounted to?

I've seen a few pics of dual batteries in the existing battery box.
Even squeezing 2 n70s in there!
That is a PITA - you have to remove the seat to get the batteries in/out.

As Dave said theres no mounting points on the GS, so retro fitting a FFR/RFSV frame would be a bit of a job, plus the parts would cost you around $2000 new, and thats if there all still available and last time I asked not all of them were.

You could get second hand if you still really wanted to go this route.

A far simpler solution would be to fit the door as per UK Wolf land rovers, as this comes with all the bits you need.

Heres the standard one, and the parts required.

I have a false floor in mine and have put 2x100AH AGM batteries behind the seats in the tray.A 60ltr water tank with an electric pump sits behind this and I still have 1100mm of storage under the floor. It seems that Im not an orphan in regards to looking at installing some side storage compartments.Mounting points for securely holding the box in place are the main issue other than cost.An option I am looking at is to bolt a custom compartment to the seat base in the tub(similar, but not, too what you see on many utes).
