OK then, there are some of the reasons that some will pay extra for these.

BTW there are a few other extras you have left out of your list which would co$t lot$ if you went to add them to a standard Perentie.

There has been a bit of discussion on whether there are many of these yet to be sold. AFM says no but they only know what is in the immediate pipeline. Others doing the maths say there are a few yet to come.

Obviously the one noted above in this thread is too dear but I hope you come across one that suits in the near future. Several have been resold after purchase from AFM and there will always be some owner who wants to get something else.

Yeah well my current car is at the end of its life. I think i will settle for a gs and hopefully get something in this weeks auction. I will get a better price and i can just fabricate some of the bits i want and add things as i go. I like the perenties because they are "no frills" type vehicle and the less bells and whistles it's got then the less things to go wrong and easier to fix

Be aware that the price you bid at auction will be increased by about 1/6th to both pay gst and provide graysonline with their profit before it leaves Minto. On top of that you will have insurance, transport, inspection and registration costs (ouch).

Trust it works out well for you - let us know how you go .

Yeah thanks, I've already factored all that in. I know my budget and will stick to it

I bid on an RFSV here in Adelaide last year. I stopped bidding at $11k and it finally went for $16k. There were 2 of them at the time and one had had a new chassis fitted and had been overhauled by tenix here in SA but i wanted the other one coz it looked more "honest" and seemed to me to be in better condition. I liked all the options it had as well. Would have been a good thing.....😆

    Cheers Rod
