    Lockers

I have spent a long time reading through various posts (in other forums as well) on lockers. My initial thoughts was to install ARB on the rear and then when I could install them on the front. I already have a ARB twin compressor installed.

Having done my research I am now wondering if this is the right choice, maybe Detroit True trac in the front & Ashcroft in the rear ?? Has anyone installed lockers in their Perenties and if so how have you found them?? Would do you do something different?

    Cheers
    Paul

Hey Paul, after having been involved in a few winch comps I will definitely be going selectable lockers in my 110. It can be difficult to get out of ruts with Auto/helical gear lockers among other things. Much more control when you can turn them off!

I'll probably go Maxi Drive in the rear and undecided about the front just yet. They are on that long list of things to do...

Hey you need a turbo, power steering and big mud tires before lockers

Looking at how haggard my rear tyres have become since installing a Detroit, I am wondering if I did the right thing.

Hi Bearman, do you still have the 4.7 ratios in the 6x6 or have you changed them to 3.54?

Still 4.7 Rod, 3.5 is too high for them in standard engine form. I was contemplating using 4.1 and maybe using the RFSV transfer gearing but I don't thing the small difference would be worth the capital outlay for the Salisbury cw&p's in that ratio. Has anyone done a speed/rpm graph for the 3 ratios with .996 and 1.123

Rod I am away from home until Friday but will post up the part numbers then. I bought both rears s/hand off the forum here (they fit any ratio carrier) and the front is one I got from the AFM auctions with a stuffed cw&p. It is actually a 3.54 one but has a spacer to accommodate the 4.7 cw. Must have come from a LRPV I think. 912A407 is the part number

Ok thanks Bearman. Im having trouble finding them and getting a correct part number will help me a lot. I have a salisbury in the rear of my s2a and standard in the front. I have both types of front axles 10 and 24 spline available to me to use. Thanks again.
