Perentie VDO electronic speedo conversion with part numbers and ebay links

I recently did this to my Perentie and can highly recommend it. I know someone a while back posted a thread about using a TD5 electronic speedo; this is a variation on this, the main difference being the VDO speedo is programmable for any tyre size or diff ratio. Mine is now as accurate as a GPS, even with the new diff ratios. Plus the VDO Cockpit speedo perfectly matches the other Perentie VDO gauges.
Thread is in the Defender forum as per below link:

The speedo is one particular mechanical component that annoys me. What happens with the odometer?

There are a few places around who can reprogram the odo on a VDO. I chose to start at zero but have kept the old speedo as evidence of the previous mileage, in case I ever sell it (hope I never have to).

I've done the electronic speedo conversion on my Carry All. Much better speedo and as you say, really accurate and programmable.

I had to let the NZTA know I changed the speedo (we have diesel mileage tax here).
