Fusion. Ipod In car/ Boat Dock

    GET ONE.

We have installed 2 of these at work, into two 8m fibreglass tenders. I was a bit dubious at first, but the actually a cranker of unit.

SO now im going to order one and fit to the Disco. Only thing is it might make the CD stacker rendered useless!!

    Check link

Fusion's iPod car stereo head unit wants to eat your mp3 player

    cheers

Hmm, I have a couple of spare iPods - including a 30Gb one that won't play videos so it could be permanently fitted into that.

I'm interested in that the specs indicate it has 4 line outs plus sub woofer. That might integrate into the P38A external in-door amps. Now to try to find a full spec sheet.

Pity about the bloody awful blue lighting though.

    Thanks for that.

The concept was great and it's fully NZ designed (but built offshore). The word I have from people in the industry is the pins on the plug go out of alignment after decent useage. They were a good unit when headunits had to have external ipod adapters which were a bit slow, but with usb becoming a fairly standard feature nowadays I don't see the benefit of the Fusion unit.

Tim, your Disco already has a fair few stereo add-ons. Might pay to check what your current headunit actually does before taking the plunge as you might need some DVD capability.

I now have 5 ipods. One for each car, one for the pram, and I have no idea what we use the other one for!! The ones in the cars live in the glovebox. Currently changing cars and stereo systems, unfortunately my new super stereo system doesn't have any ipod control, or many other bells and whistles for that matter.
