Ok i found this thanks to Aussie
Affordable Land Rover, Range Rover, Radio Repair
from Mp3/Ipod connection in OEM headunit
Have a 2002 RR SE with the old style stereo unit in the dash...
as below, minus the GPS unit
Has these inputs to select from, CD, TAPE, FM... there is no mention of an AUX input (Thus i am gathering there will be no external input wiring).
Before we go down the FM Transmitter option to connect an Ipod, is there any hope with this model radio to connect external sources??
Perhaps hijacking the CD stacker is the only option?
Thanks

It's probably the Alpine head unit for which you can buy an aftermarket iPod adaptor.
See
ICD Direct Control iPod Interface
This one above appears to suit the '99-'02 Alpine head unit - see the drop down menu on that page.
or
DICE Electronics Range Rover RDS FM iPod Kit / Range Rover iPod Adapter
or
Range Rover Auxiliary Audio Input Interface / Range Rover iPod Adapter

Thanks heaps Ron, yes from what i understand, it is the Alpine Head unit in the GF's '02 RR SE (P38A)
Those options you posted are 2 i haven't seen yet, looking into them now...
Thanks again![]()
