Help...CD player mount,new speakers,aftermarket spotties, and scanner in 110....
Hi there everyone,
Im having a few issues with my ute ...
Lets start with the CD player.... Mainly that my Kenwood CD player doesnt fit in the dash mount at all, the original one is too small ... Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to make a new dash mount, as every time I go 4wding the bloody thing nearly falls out.
I am considering getting a new head unit, as not only am I minus the locking keys, I am also missing the instructions (they were left in the old Discovery we pulled it out of, which has now been scrapped), but then will need to figure out how to wire it up as the guy who put it in butchered my original wiring to hook this one up.
Also am looking at geting new speakers for the ute ... just to replace the 2 original dash ones as they are, well, crap. Would aftermarket 6x9s fit, or would I have to look at something else? And is this a hard task to wire up, or is it a matter of plugging them into the wiring from the originals?
Onto the Spotlights....
I am hoping to wire up not only my set of 2 bullbar mounted spotlights, but also a set of fog lamps, 4 spotlights on the rollbar on the tray, 2 worklamps, also on the tray, around 12 LED marker lights, and a strip of LED lighting down each sill. Does anyone have any suggestion as to how to hook that massive load up without blowing something? I am considering a dual battery system as Dad has all the set up waiting except the actual battery, but that is another task that is beyond me.
I am not too great with technology/electricity, so much help would be appreciated. If anyone is in the Canberra/Cooma/Bombala region who would be willing to come and actaully help me do it, I will forever be in their debt haha.
