Hi Scott,
I haven't looked at the wiring diagram but you should be able to come up with a solution using a relay if required, as per the guides here:

Hi guys,
I jut replaced my original roof mount dvd unit in the D2 with an all in one dvd player. It also includes interior lights to replace the originals.
The original dvd player was under the driver seat with the screen on the roof.
The new unit installed easy enough with 4 wires connecting directly to the existing +12v, ACC, earth and interior light.
I also installed a couple of extra wires thinking I would need a different power connection along with a new AV cable to connect to a TV tuner.
The new player works OK but the interior lights are working opposite to the rest of the interior lighting.
When I unlock the car the interior lights come on when the switches are in the auto position but then the dvd light goes off. When the interior lights then go off the dvd light comes on. If I switch the lights on, in the manual position, they will come on.
So when I lock the car with the switch in the auto position the dvd interior light remains on.
As quick fix I cut the interior light cable to the dvd unit, so I do not flatten the battery, but now the interior lighting does not work in the auto setting, but does still work in when switched on manually.
I checked the rove manual and it shows that the earth is switched differently between the auto (when the door is opened) and manual positions.
Can anyone offer some advice as to how to get the interior lights working correctly?
thanks in advance.
Scott
