Just wondering if anyone , preferably Northside Brisbane, has an analogue to digital conversion turn table ? I have a couple albums that I would like to get onto my Ipod. Thanks

I finally got around to getting a pre amp to connect my turntable to the computer / itunes. After a fair bit of effort, I am not tech savvy , I can now add my old and new records to my Ipod. With each new addition I keep thinking a long drive may be on order. Although I do recall that the drive from Perth to Brisbane , a wfew years back , only got me through about 30 % of the library. Since then it has grown a fair bit further.

I can recommend "Audacity" a freeware.
once installed all you have to do is link the LP player(out) to your computer (mic) via audio cable jacks.
You play the Lp while recording the output on the PC. The freeware offer a lot of tuning options and filters.
I have converted old K7 to digital.

Thanks , as it happens that is the one I am using. Still on the basics of manually putting in the breaks and labels . Once finished with the older "popping" and crackly records I'll experiment abit more. Still enjoying the old tunes !
