Where did you route the wires? Along the floor or up along the roof?
Neale
Started routing the 6mm twin cable to the rear of my disco ready for fridge and acc. 12v cigy socket, routing is fairly easy but finding a suitable mounting location was difficult due to have the dicky seats which i do use occasionally which also ruled out cargo barrier mounting.
Sat in the back while i pondered this and then reminding myself how earlier i found a pair of cargo blind mounts in my spares box that werent broken.
Then looking at where they mount it appeared to be a good spot for my waeco Raps dual socket , so some drilled, bent and riveted alloy strap and sheet and i came up with this ideal bracket and location.

When I had the headlining out I ran all the wiring through the roof with the existing loom on the left hand side

Hi Neale, i didnt get as far as running the cable but will do as DiscoMick said and run under sill trims and tuck it up behind the trim near the seatbelt and it will come out behind the dicky seat and into the socket.
If the roof lining was out i might run it up there but then its a longer run of cable and doubling back to the socket.

I guess you know there's a grommet hole for cables in the engine bay behind the washer bottle, but I had to take the glovebox out to get at it from inside.
Pushing the cable thru the grommet wasnt happening so i cut the end off an old caulking nozzle and poked it into the grommet, then the cable just slid thru easily.
Now i have ice old beers in the back of the disco.

Don't the D1 have the pink 12V wire in their wiring harness the same as earlier Rangie classics?
At least there is one in my RRc. It terminates in a blank end behind the LH rear light cluster. I only use it for powering up a change over relay so I can use the rear fog as secondary stop lamps.
(Yes I do have auxilliary power from the second battery.)
You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
No idea but i wanted heavier cable than the stock loom has, and i wanted constant power from the aux battery.
