    Smaller (non-CD) head unit ?

I have a Mud pod and best laid plans have gone to hell - the ICOM is deeper than I thought. This means it has to go in the upper (angled) position. This means my car radio will have to be in the lower / flat position.

I'm looking for a head unit that is not as deep as a normal DIN unit.

I have no need, nor desire, for a CD as the gearstick will be in the way anyway.

I'm wanting something that can be hooked up to an Android (and iphone) for handsfree phone and music streaming from phone (and SD card would be great).

Ideally I don't want to spend a fortune on it either.

    Thoughts?
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

That's it, I thought there was a more recent one, but couldn't find it despite using half a million search terms.

Alpine do one for around the ~200 mark that is 155mm deep, and my brother bought a Kenwood one not long back that measured right on the 100mm.

I bought the Fusion Mechless Bluetooth unit, with SD card and iPod connectivity. Its short, and really easy to install. ISO so connected to my Disco 2 without a hassle, and the Bluetooth works well. It has a plug in mic that I mounted on top of my dash. Bluetooth streaming with my iphone as well.

Supercheap had them, I paid around $160 from memory.

    Cheers,

Just wondering if it would be compatible with android for music streaming. It has BT so I guess it would work?

Cheers. I suppose it would be too much to hope that the USB would charge my Android Phone (it only mentions iphones)

It will only be 500ma from the usb and you ideally want 1a or more.
