    Improving your speaker cables

You need to condition your speaker cables before you use them!

I can't believe people get sucked in by this sort of stuff.

Although it is not yet fully understood scientifically, the phenomenon of “cable break-in” has been experienced by many audiophiles. Interconnects, speaker cables and even power cords seem to go through a conditioning period when used in an audio/video system, and will sound better after many hours of in-system use.

The true way to get things to sound better is soak them in stale beer and cigarette smoke

After breaking in your speaker cables don't forget to demagnetise your CD/DVDs for best performance.

But for those who prefer the 'warmer' sound of vinyl instead, then ditch the standalone CD demagnetiser and get your self one that will also demagnetise LPs as well. Honestly, after demagnetising, your LPs will sound 'intriguing, fascinating and captivating' as well as 'warm'.

Try demagnetising your Landy - it will sound less like a bucket of bolts.

Unbelievable! I have a bulk eraser left over from my open reel video tape days. Maybe I had better try it. What about bulk erasing my MiniDiscs? Will that improve them, too?

Maybe I won't need to. My wife wants me to dump all my Mini Disc, LPs, and CDs as I never play them. We got rid of the music videos yesterday to Vinnies.

This sounds familiar. I got rid of my minidiscs years ago as well as laserdiscs and VHS. Won't get rid of DVD's or Blu-rays, too many to replace. Same as records and CD's keeping them.

I hear to get deep scratches out of CD's use toothpaste and a brillo pad.
