Inmarsat
I notice the Inmarsat network now works with emergency numbers. I believe I saw somewhere, but can't find it now, that emergency numbers will even work without a sim card. Anyone know if this is the case?
Also, I believe some sat phones can accept a regular Telstra sim, but think it only works with the Iridium network - anyone able to confirm?
Finally, where's the cheapest place to buy Inmarsat credit?

Sorry Ranga, no idea, but I'm looking into Sat Sleeves for my iPhone 6 Plus.
Seems to be a good option over HF or a dedicated stand alone sat phone for around $1000.
I also carry an emergency locator beacon which takes up no space.
