    TV Antenna Base

I've bought a new base to move the TV antenna on my house to a higher point on the roof. It is currently fitted to a bracket on the edge of the roof and I want to use this mount designed for a tiled roof (which we have) to reposition the antenna. I normally have no trouble with things like this, but I just can't see how this attaches to the tiled roof and there are no instructions. Anyone got any ideas?
It is essential that I get this done as our set-top box doesn't recieve SBS well enough to watch TopGear without the screen freezing regularly and I'm sick of watching it through snowy analogue reception. So this is obviously a very high priority job

If you put the mast through the top clamp, does it align with the bottom U-bracket?

Wait. Hmm, I see it does: http://www.djcoulter.com.au/Products...9;stockNo=1035

Doesn't help much. I'd have thought it goes under the tile and screw to the timber below but it doesn't seem deep enough.

I've only found this description: Tile Mount - for use on sloping concrete or steel tile roofs. Adjustable angle. Note that base section is not flat to allow segment to overlap to tile below

Fitting the mast it fairly straight forward, I'm just unsure about attaching the base to the roof. The base definitely sits on top of the tiles. The elongated holes line up with the ridges that run down the length of the tile, so I think that I need to drill holes through the tiles to mount it. This could of course result in boken tiles, so I'm reluctant to drill until I'm certain. If I do need to drill holes, should the holes be above timber so that the base screws into the timber below?
I have a few spare tiles, but I'd rather be certain before I start. There must be someone out there who has got or fitted one of these.
