Best provider for phones calls to UK?

For those who phone the UK a lot, who are people with for their fixed line home phone? I am pretty unhappy with the service I am currently getting and am looking to switch providers. I have one phone line with a fax duet service on it and call the uk a fair bit.

    Any suggestions appreciated.

you got a pc why are you even thinking about telephone companies to talk to UK.

You do need to ensure other party has pc in uk

and you can even do the video and sound link as well

Even Yahoo Messenger works really well with audio and video.

My son uses it to talk / see his aunties and cousins overseas.

The girls here in the office say Skype to India & Sri Lanka costs them more, really

They maintain they sit at the pc at say 8.30, and nothing.. they get on the phone then saying where are you.. The phone calls back & forth to arrange Skype times are more than pre-Skype!

    Regards

That is what i can''t be ar*ed with . Just pick up the phone and dial the number same as if i was phoning someone round the corner. hence why i pay $5 a month and 2 cents a min . I consider the amout well worth not sitting in front of my pc for hours. I can walk around with a beer and get another from the fridge while still on the phone

Who told you that you have to sit at the PC to use Voip?
I can use my cordless to ring a number just as I did before Voip. I can wander around with a glass of milk and get another one from the fridge.
I don't even have to have the PC on let alone sit in front of it.
Calls to UK cost me 12.5 cent untimed.
