    Pocket Projector experience?

Looking at buying a pocket projector to use at club meetings.

Anyone have any experience with them or seen them working?

    Something like this

Dunno but the Age had a review of a camera that incoporated a projector ....was one of the major brands..... apparently doesn't work too bad.

I don't know anything of them but with a max resolution of only 640 X 480 and 10 lumens of light then I would not expect too much from it.

Depends on what you want to use it for but if you want to have something a bit more versatile then maybe something like this

Sanyo Projector Multiverse Pro XTRAX model PLC-XU73 - eBay, Projectors, Video, Sound, Multimedia, Computers. (end time 03-Oct-09 20:00:36 AEST)

It is 2500 lumens. This unit has less than 500 hours and the lamps are good for 2000. At 2.4kg it isn't super light but as I said it depends on what you want to use it for.

I have always used Sanyo projectors have found them very good including the one like this that was bought second hand.

I agree 640x480 and 10 lumens is absolutly nothing and I would assume only good for personal use in a very dark environment.

I would suggest QVGA and a minumim of 2000 lumens for a large group in a semi lit room. Also don't forget you will need some sort speaker system as well if you want to show movies

Go to Hardly Normal, WOW or JB's to have a look they have some good prices!

    Cheers,
