Running Firefox and just installed adblock...
No more popup, and Aulro loads MUCH faster now.
Added bonus is no more big expanding mouse-rollover ad either (aka Subaru or its recent replacement an IBM?? one).

Obviously if you install it and block all the ads then Aulro loses some revenue.
If you aren't already a subscriber then do the right thing and become one to help with the running costs.

    ???
Revenue is only generated if you actually click on the ads surely?
I never click on ads no matter which site I am on.

these just have to be displayed.

and contrary to what anyone says, there is nothing dangerous in any adverts displayed here.

one would think the plague was dispensed by popup listening to some of the carry on here.

like has been said above, if you leave it timeout in the background it does nothing.

anyone that has it repeating popup page after page has an issue with the browser security settings i would think.

i am constantly trying to get the advertising agency to understand how places like this work and am sure will get them trained, eventually.

and yes, i finally got to see it myself this morning, coming into this thread... left it in the background and haven't seen it since.

this is the only way big privately owned sites can manage to continue.

i generally keep an eye out on whats happening around the scene and this site is no where near as bad as some commercial sites IMHO.

can I ask how I increase security on the 64bit browser?

as if I leave it in the background everytime I change page another one crops up so I have several sitting in the background...unless I close them down

I have blocked all pop ups to this site and they are still coming.. do I need to increase the cookie level too high? rather then medium...Only thing I have ever found with this is some website don't load properly.

I'm going to try the 32bit Mozilla again and hopefully wont be a drama but just so I know I guess

i have not been able to induce that behavior on my system, sorry.

running win 7 ultimate 64bit latest updates

tried 64bit IE and the 64bit version of firefox.

safari, mozilla, chrome, opera and a couple of variants of ie

i am trialling kaspersky anti virus 2011 at the moment but normally use command anti malware

i only use the windows firewall.

using full on internet security packages only duplicates what is already in windows these days.

it has been my experience that running stuff like adaware and numerous other utilities of the same ilk do next to nothing to help if you leave them installed all the time.

i just install them when i need to do some routine maintenance.

it has been my experience that some of this sort of behavior can be governed by what isp you use, to some degree.

some have much better transparent proxies and filtering policies / setups than others. it often amuses me that that rarely if ever makes the posts on specialist info sites like broadband choice etc etc

pm me what you are running and i will try and duplicate it if you want but i have a bit on over the next few days so i might take a while to get back to you.
