    Internet Security Advice Required

To all the IT Gurru's out there in Cyber Space!!

Our AVG Internet security will expire in a couple of days and we need to re-new or replace. Someone has mentioned we should look at "Trent" as a possible replacement. We have 8 desktops and two laptops that would require security.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks, Jurgens.

I have been very happy with AVG up until a few weeks ago, when it began automatically prompting me for an upgrade to some new version.

Fair enough, but when I try and download it (which it does automatically) to my Win7 64 bit PC it says it is not the right version...... Maybe the new version does not work in 64 bit?

Might have to take a look at Trend byt the sound of things.

I gave away AVG some time ago for the reasons listed here.

Have you considered Microsoft Security Essentials

It is well regarded and free for personal and small business use. (up to 10 machines)

There are reviews of most well known security packages here av-comparatives.org

I have used Trend Micro for a few years now after changing over form Norton. It seems less cpu intensive and afaik it has detected every virus/trojan so far. Im happy with it.
