One i do the most often would be run two separate data recovery programs on two separate drives at once

    A real windows killer

Even one instance is quicker in osx than windows using software from the same source eg prosoft

Bearing mind i use osx on pc hardware so no pretty white wheel chocks involved

Fair call. I know there is some software that under-performs on modern Windows platforms due to not being written to fully utilise multiple cores/threads (my dodgy version of solidworks back at uni for instance), or take full advantage of the now reasonably common 64 bit platform. Similarly, when software is written for one type of platform, then ported to others it often isn't written to take full advantage of the second platform (a lot of console derived video games are good examples of this). Could that be the case here?

I like the convenience of three devices (iphone mac & ipad) looking similar, being connected and software being easy to use. Your paying mainly for the OS but each device is really well made. The battery life is close to 8 hrs on the MacBook.

I had a Samsung galaxy s2 in between a iPhone 3GS & 4S. The s2 was clearly faster but the OS drove me nuts. I would have kept it if I could have installed iOS 5 on it (despite poor call reception).

Anyone know a way to import an outlook calendar into iCal?
