    Alternative to PhotoBucket

I have been using PhotoBucket as the host program to put up most of my pics. Recently the computer nerds got to PhotoBucket and did an update and now I find it a pain to use - eg uploaded photoes can go anywhere into an album and if there are a lot of pics already in there it takes ages to find them.

Can someone recommend an alternative pic hosting site that is simple and easy to use.

    Thanks

    Garry

I found that a problem with the new release as well until I found you can can change the sort order in albums to be either newest/oldest first or alphabetical sort.

Click the (v) next to your name and go into user settings.

I use Picasa but I see a couple of things wrong with it:

It doesn't seem possible to save one's preferred sort order, e..g., alpha or date. It defaults to date.

Its conversion of Pentax RAW (PEF) files degrades the image. Lightroom's conversion is far superior.

As an aside, for forum use, my preference is to now upload any images to the site rather than linking to an external host. I've seen far too many threads ruined by the host site disappearing or photos being taken down.

I have been, too. However, I'm thinking of taking my website down as I haven't updated it in a long time. I'd drop the domain name, too. If I do so, all the linked pix will go.
