    Printing Webpages as Displayed

    I want to print the Tasmanian Transport Page as it is displayed when you open it. http://www.transport.tas.gov.au/

    However when I do so it just prints the a list of headings etc in indented and dot pointed form - not as it is displayed.

    Any ideas how to print it - as I want the whole page I cannot just take a screen grab and print that. If it is relevant I use Firefox latest update and cannot find anything in there.

    Thanks

    These tricks use css (style sheets) in the web page scripting. When you hit print - it changes the look of the page by serving up a different script.

    There is an add-on for firefox that should disable it. Called "web developer".

    I'll have a play and see.

    Ok - got it.

    Install the add on.

    Open your transport webpage.

    You'll see a menu bar that you won't have seen before.

    Click CSS

    A page will open up at the bottom half of the screen with three tabs

    Click the left tab design_css_9162

    Scroll down to line 136 -139 and delete them. They are:
    a#printfriendly {
    text-decoration: none;
    }

    Click Print on the main firefox top menu. (you can close the bottom half screen now if you wish

    Make sure you have print background colours and images boxes selected

    Print away (or save to pdf).

    Just hit refresh and all these changes will vanish....

    Thanks Stallie - didn't quite go as hoped but I was able to muddle through.

    It printed the page over three pages despite the printer being told to print on one so I printed to PDF and was then able to print from the PDF.

    So got there in the end.

    Thanks for your help - much appreciated.
