This is caused by your modem and there are 2 settings to check on it for this (assuming your router is on 192.168.1.254):
1.Excessive Session Detection
Accsess gui 192.168.1.254, select firwall tab, advanced settings, remove Excessive Session Detection, save
2.Router Bhind Router Alert
Accsess gui 192.168.1.254/mdc, select configure under local network, remove Router Bhind Router Alert, click on submit
Close web browser down when changed these settings, re-opened, should fix problem
On the second one make sure the UPNP is turned off as this will open inbound ports on the router if devices inside ask for them to opened.
The actual hack/attempted hack and the issue may be related.
I had one of these modems and ended up throwing it in the bin and I run a complete network behind it (i.e. servers) and it kept making this router think that I was doing things it should stop i.e. having a network behind it.
