I tried but the end I downgraded back to W7. Continual lockups, a weird date issue in Excel where US and AU formatting got confused regardless of the settings, "recent places" annoyance, NUM key randomly switching off and other stuff.

Have you tried Disk Cleanup? which is in the Control Panel.
It will delete all unneeded files including windows .old.

    Regards Philip A
Whoops not in Control Panel, but just type disk cleanup in the box next to the start button.

My problem MAY be related to my just copying and pasting my data files to the D partition of my disk.
I had a look in Microsoft and the C:\user\ ...\library folders also have to be changed.
Microsoft does not allow for data to be stored on a different disc or partition in WIN 7 !!!!!
There may be a work around that I can specify the D partition in "add a folder" but I have not yet tried.

Maybe this is why. From Microsoft.

Office versions prior to 2007 are "incompatible" with Windows 10. However, you can run them in compatibility mode. Not sure if the process is still the same as it was in Windows 7 but, basically, compatibility mode is achieved using shims which call different dll's to emulate the earlier OS version.

Bear in mind, while doable, it's clunky and not entirely reliable.

    Best,

    Jay

    Success!!!!
Finally managed to install Win 10 on my wife's computer, although it took all day, as the "settings" portion took at least 6 hours!

So now I have 3 laptops with it on and quite happy.

I quite like Edge although it doesn't work with Java , which I use for interactive charts for companies.
Trend Micro's secure browser does also not seem to work with it.
I seem to recall that NO extra apps work with it at the moment.

    Regards Philip A
