    best malware / adware programs

I've got the dreaded "ads by provider" ADWARE and trying to get rid of it.

D/loaded and scanned malaware bytes - it found some malware but ads still there.

I checked the add ons / externions for all my browsers = nothing there.

I have AVAST and a scan didn't show anything.

Downloading adaware at the moment to try that next.

I notice that many of the good FREE SOFTWARE out there is now just trial versions with the free version no longer available / supported.

So - what are the best options out there these days?
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

BleepingComputer's global moderator's opinion of Spyhunter (Sept 2014)

In my opinion SpyHunter is a dubious program which is not very effective compared to others with a proven track record and I would not trust all the detections provided by its scanning engine. If you have downloaded and scanned with SpyHunter, any detection results should be viewed with suspicion. My personal recommendation would be to remove the program and replace it with a trustworthy alternative such as Malwarebytes Anti-Malware or Emsisoft Anti-Malware.

Yeah well Well Spyhunter 4 is a bust anyway. Found lots but the removal tool is disabled in the free version. How very not useful !

I have used this before to weed out things Malwarebytes would not find or remove. I thought it was good. Hitman Pro. When a suspicious file is detected, Hitman Pro will upload the file where it will then be scanned by 5 other anti-virus vendors before deciding what to do with it.

    Fully functional for 30 days.
