    Android App Issues

    Hi All,

    My phone (Galaxy S3 4G) is reporting that "AULRO has stopped working" every now and then, with the app icon changing to the little green android fellow (I think it's the standard Android apk icon). The app will then not open and the error message will appear every time you try. Restarting the phone fixes the problem for a while, sometimes 10 minutes, sometimes a couple of days.

    Some other apps also stop working at the same time, though they are not apps I use often.

    I have the feeling it's just my phone, but I thought I'd check to see if anyone else is having the same problems.

    my phone is standard apart from the Aviate Launcher, and the app is installed on the phone (not the SD card).

    Have you read the reviews about your launcher? Not real good.
    Based on what I've just read about, what it does, etc, I'm guessing your phone is crashing.
    There is also a Samsung update for it. However (again, according to reviews) the update didn't resolve issues.
    May I ask why you're using it? It just seems like bloatware to me....

    I havent read recent reviews. I got it before yahoo acquired it and the reviews were good then. I hate the standard samsung launcher mostly because you cant customise the lower buttons and so are stuck with shortcuts to a crap browser and average message client. Maybe thats changed in the last two years but I didnt realise there was an update.

    I will try the phone with the standard launcher and see if it makes a difference.

    Sorry,

    I was looking to reset to the stock launcher when I noticed the app was stored on the sd card. I have moved it and will see if that helps.

    Yeah so far no problems. My phone is a bit beat up and every now amd then if I tap it too hard (literally tap it) then the SD card cannot be found. A good bump and its good again. Pretty sure this was a factor!

    Im due for a new phone in november I think. Looking forward to it!
