Twin sound outputs?

Win 10,
realtek HD audio manager,
3.5 sound plug from desktop speakers,
USB plug from headphones.
standard 6hole plug setup on MB

is it possible to get the same sound out of both, at the same time?

W7 has a mixer widget that you could use to output the sound to several devices at differing volumes if you were so inclined I would assume that W10 has the same. You are going to have to go Bluetooth if you want USB though

Thanks Dorian, it seems most good headphones these days are usb corded.
I'd just like to be able to turn the speakers on and have it play sounds, not have to change default device each time.
Not sure why in this day and age we can still have only one default device.
