clean the ram contacts with a pencil eraser and use a clean brush to sweep the ram slot
blow the slot out afterwards...

Removed vid card and used onboard connection,, BIOS Arrives!
updated Bios to latest, windows awakens!
using big vid card but only 2gb ram,,
still to erase ram socket,,
"new" MB came with ( two ram slots) a i7 3750 which is a 22nm cpu which means this board can run 1600 ram,
unfortunately i changed that out to my old i7 2600 which is 32nm and limits the board to 1333,, of which I have exactly 2 x 2gb sticks,,,,
and of course I have used up the last of my thermal paste,, so no more cpu swaps today,,,
system now boots with both ram slots filled,,
success! sort of..

Well looks like Frankeputer is up and running,,
some more good news, it now runs with 2 x 4gb sticks of ram,,
close,,
I have 2 x 8gb sticks I have been keeping for just such a motherboard
amazing what a bios update will do!!!
