If you are getting masses of email spam then looking for malware on you PC is not going to help you or stop it.
Some solutions. Depends a bit on what email and provider you use. Some may be applicable for you, some may not.
1) Classify spam as 'junk' when you see it. Your system will learn what it is and deal with it.
2) Don't receive email as HTML. Pictures (and other external content) automatically downloaded in email HTML can be used to verify to the spammer you're viewing his content, hence you get more.
3) Try setting junk email filters to kill the stuff as it arrives in your inbox, preferably at the server end.
4) Maintain 2 email addresses (or set an alias). One email address is reserved for trusted uses - business, friends etc. The other use only for potentially untrusted things - online shopping accounts etc. When that email address is compromised (-you start getting too much spam) just kill it off, create a new email address (or set a new alias) and simply change the email address for those accounts, subscriptions etc you want to keep.
