Steve,
I assume you have a networked printer and a switch or router? What's the router doing? Lights on, etc?
G'day All,
Hoping someone can help and understand my explanation. Long story short, I set off our safety switch...now my laptop wont talk to my server and I need it as my printer runs through it. I have a short cut on my laptop and normally when I click on it, all the info comes up. Now it says as follows:
An error occured when connecting to T:to \\ffserver\T
Microsoft Windows Network: The networth path was not found
The connection has not been restored.
Now at first I would try and print and it would come up error. Would go into Printers and Print a test page....and it would print. I can print off the server, but pointless as I cannot send anything from my C: drive to my T: drive to print. I have tried the troubleshooting thing on here...f'ing useless. What can I do or look at, it must of had a hissy fit when the safety switch was set off....but I do have one of those powerpoints to prevent problems with the puter. ANy assistance would be great, thanks in advance,
Regards
Stevo

Turn off the router for 10 seconds and see what happens.
Mate..........................................next meeting the beers are on meTurn off the router for 10 seconds and see what happens., thank you very much
.......that worked. Wish I had posted yesterday, I had to email a set of docs ( about a trees worth) to Sharleas puter and have her print off through her canon print jet. Was more fun watching paint dry it was soooooo slow. Made my day that, again thanks Mark,

I've always found that the first option for all things computerised (PCs, control equipment (what I do for a crust), and now the D3) is the master reboot. ie pull the plug and count to ten![]()
I was shutting down everything, ie laptop/server/ printer etc and that didnt work....unplug the router for 10 and voila.....will remember that one for sure,
