I've got a 17 inch macbook pro that i bought through Inc. Fantastic bit of kit and one that gets used constantly. Runs way faster than our PC.
Alright, its finally time for me to ease my sphincter a littleI going to buy a new laptop, essentially all I do, is browse the web and some pictures pretty basic, the only reason I'm going to junk my Thinkpad, is it gets hot ans shuts down, if on your lap and the ambient temp is over mid twenties
Oh and something else is a bit humped as I gave it a new battery, but still only has a run time of half an hour if removed from charge
Was thinking an apple? mate has a desktop, starts quick and has no drama's, I like this effort free idea
So what do I buy?, bigger screen would be cool and must have a slot thingo for my wireless net
And where do I buy?

How much will your sphincter allow you to spend...
Here is a review of Macbook Pro's.

sorry can't help any further ....
Try vacuuming the vents on the Thinkpad, or pull it apart and replace the busted fan.
Thinkpad maintenance manuals are free and very good, part should be reasonably cheap on ebay, take about an hour, hour and a half tops.
If your wireless net is usb then you should be all good, if it's a pcmcia/cardbus/expresscard type though you might be out of luck on the macbook as i don't think they have a slot.
We bought an Imac from here, saved a few dollars and got a brilliant machine.

I am travelling with my 13" MacBookPro, it is brilliant. I can get anything up to 7 days of battery life (using it about an hour a day with bluetooth turned on). The only negative I have found is the reflective screen can be like a mirror in sunlight. Also the size is perfect for travelling.
