Realistically you will be lucky to get 4mb speeds unless you are sitting on an exchange. I switched to Iinet and it was done to the hour and without fuss, could do with more dl quota but that will be fixed when i convince the missus to go naked......................dsl that is . The bob unit looks good, i'd get one but we only recently bought a new twin handset cordless so wont be replacing it yet.

bob??? Is that adsl2? 8000k is very good and iinet have been good for us although they, and every other provider will not put adsl2 in our exchange The one thing to watch is that you are going from a 256 or 512 connection to a 8000 speed connection is that you will VERY quickly reach your monthly limit and THANKFULLY with iinet they dont charge more if you go over (unlike the other big 2 ) but just speed cap you.

My iinet naked DSL is going on tomorrow. Telstra Cable is just too damn expensive, although it has allowed me to ditch my phone line and save on line rental for the past 5 years or so.

I'm with iinet but not Naked.... Note that with iinet naked they include IN AND OUTGOING traffic towards your download limit.

Interested in this Bob myself, do you have to have the PC on at all times to use the phone or does the phone work thru the router without PC connection.?

The BoB unit is wireless broadband so guess you just plug her in the phone line for your incoming/outgoing calls.
