One of the reasons I stayed with iinet was their liberal off peak times. Their competitors all have those Bad off peak times.
The old iinet was good as I could download stuff until 12 noon on off peak.

Update on my faulty Bob, after numerous calls and a final threatening email to them they FINALLY AGREED TO SEND ME A NEW ONE!!!!!!!!! it only took 10 contacts to them, I haven't got it yet.

I had the No ring problem, 3 firmware updates later and that was solved. Then the other problem started where I have to dial a number 3 times before I can get through, I always get the Number is iot in service recording.
Even Belkin the manufacturer of BoB could not give me a satisfactory fix.
Yes your right about having to explain yourself to a different support tech every time, I just told them to look up the notes they made from the other times I contacted them. This helps>

Well the replacement BoB arrived this morning so I hooked it up with all the new cables etc and low and behold it didn't work. Iyt would not allow any aCcess to configure it or to reset it with the default reset button.
So I ring support and got a techie that knew what he was talking about.
We ended up fixing my OLD one, all it needed was a couple of other boxes unticked in the advanced, advance ,advance settings. He did say a lot of the other Techies did not go this far in the setting changes.
So after all the huff and puff from me it finally works.
As I said It's not worth complaining ( no one listens) but some times it pays to get action

glad to hear it is now working

I have found the tech support a little variable but there are some good ones who even speak english and are willing to spend the time with you to fix a problem.

I have an annoying buzz on the phone though, but because my wife does all the talking on the phone in my house, I figure if it is a real problem she can get it fixed.

and if you dont like the answer the first tech gave you ring back to get a different one lol

The buzz on the phone was something in the volume settings in the router settings. I found the phone conversations hard to hear and a tech got me to adjust some settings which made the handset volume increase more and also the buzz went.
