When you fit a new belt it won’t seat properly and squeals like crazy. The best solution is to remove the pulleys and with the pointed tip of an old knife scratch out the glassy grit (tedious) in the bottom of the grooves. Then give it a good wire brushing with a wire wheel in a bench grinder or drill. No more squealing!!!
