    LHS Mirror broke - Thoughts?

    SNAFU'ed all over the mirror with 3 x 6m lengths of pine yesterday.

    It broke the plastic mount, glass OK.

    How do I get the plate off the inside of the door to get at the bolts that hold it all on?

    I was then going to try plastic welding it back up before hanging my head in shame and buying one from a wrecker somewhere

    The plastic cover on the inside just levers off with a screwdriver,, but the plastic nipple will probably break off,, mine did, as did the one I got from the wreckers,,

    Easy job though,,

    thanks, I thought it felt like something was going to break.

    I just pulled it off, lever from the top of the plastic and the little tab comes out nicely.

    The mirror has a cast frame so I've tried to araldite it.. the amazing story continues....
