    Here is a picture of the clip in case you still don't know what it is. It holds the Lap and the Sash parts of the belt together. Having two kids we had to you the side seats. As mentioned if unsure get advice. Councils and RACV have people that can check fitting or even baby stores.

    Hi,
    Had no problems with the baby seat on on the passanger rear, threaded the belt through and pulled it tight into the retractor and doesn't let go. If unsure always pays to have it checked. RACV/VicRoads (or motoring authority in your area) can give you a list of approved fitters (usually free of charge).

    I checked our seat on the weekend and the clip is definitely part of the seat. Its a Safe n Sound convertible but forget the name.
