    D1 H4 Headlight Globe options

Been reading some threads on here but still not sure what to do. My D1 has upgraded headlight wiring so im open to more options. I currently have 60/55w H4 globes on headlights. One has burned out so looking at buying 2 replacements and having the current working one as a spare.

Supercrap and RIPCO only have the Narva and SCA brands, nothing else

So what do you guys recommend and where can I buy other reputable brands like Philips from? Not interested in the 'blue' lights either.

    Cheers,

I dont want anything out of the ordinary, just another set of H4's. If theres nothing else ill grab the SCA ones and see what they are like.

Chops - the 100/90... are they too hot for the D1 lens?

The dont seem to be,, I've been running 100/60's for some time with no problems, the new ones just bring up low beam to 90, heaps better,,
I did try to put in 130/90's not long after I got the car, and blew both globes and smoked out the glass,,

    H4 Globes

    Hi Guys,
There is not much point putting higher wattage globes in if you arn't going to upgrade the wiring.I run a Piranha upgrade loom (200 odd bucks) and 100/130 watt Flosser globes (also from Piranha) with no probs in my S1 disco.
Running to high watt globes from std wiring is asking or trouble, and you will only find out when you need the lights.
    Hope this helped.

After going through 3 sets even with an upgrade wiring I went back to Std wattage. They just blow too quick and it starts to cost more in the long run.
Also it kept cooking my parker bulbs, and holder until i went back to std.
Disco head lights are disco headlights, they will never legally be any good
