    cylinder head bolts

I am in the process of changing a con rod, but have the cylinder head off.
Trying to think ahead to when it gets put back together.
What is the process for fitting the cylinder head bolts.
    In what order and torque?

George, a search on here should turn up a TDi 300 Overhaul Manual (PDF file) Page 29 gives the correct torque figures and sequence, I have it on my desktop but have no idea how to get here. It is a good idea to use new head bolts, Regards Frank.

strongly recommend new bolts and gasket!

(shop around, the prices (as always) vary greatly for a set of bolts: $78 compared to over $300 makes a huge difference!!)

might also be a good idea to get the head checked, as they are alloy they warp easily under influence of heat...
