There are a few people on here with them, mainly in Defenders I think, not too many in Discoverys though and even fewer in D1s.

From what I have read they are great units that can monitor pretty much anything you want.

Try a search for madman or ems, it comes up with some old threads about these units.

    Here is one: http://www.aulro.com/afvb/technical-...dog-combo.html

Last year TheEntertainer was selling them, so you might be able to get a better price.

I've put a engine watchdog #2 in my 95 Tdi disco and it's proberly the best investment I've done to my disco especialy after a new engine and injector pump tweak. Ended up just buying the gauge as I had everything else and a very DIY install.

Gday, I just installed mine a few weeks ago - Very easy, bolt in kit, anyone can do it - 96 Disco 300TDI Auto.

Sorry about the pic showing unrelevant stuff but thats all I had handy.

I love the EMS. They only just increased the price of these units a few months ago so thats unfortunate, but I still think its pretty good value. Costs even more getting them from South Africa where they are made.

If your fuel pump is tweaked then very important to keep eye on EGT's. Coolant temp and level alarm is good too. Only thing I dont really understand is why they decide to monitor the transfer case oil temp. I might move that sensor one day to auto oil temp or engine oil temp.

Never, never call rock sliders irrelevant, in fact do you have any more photos of these. What size box are you using?
