My question how how others got around this? Is there a sideways slide available or do you just buy a smaller fridge?

Any pics of setups and size info would be good.

    Cheers.

I believe National Luna ( Dolium ) have a sideways slide. Have a chat to your local agent

Thanks to all for the replies. I think I'm going to have to consider buying a smaller unit as I still need the boot space. I'd have converted to gas by now if boot space wasn't so small in the Discos.

Will have a look at 50l Waeco and equivalent Engel and see what I can come up with.

I have a 47L Evakool in the back of mine. It fits still with probably about 30mm left over. The 70L poly evakool was what I originally wanted but I think it was about 10mm too long. Have a look at them because you may be able to get it to fit by removing the handle from the motor side and cutting off the moulded poly handle on the other side. Just a suggestion.

You could always get the two zone add on for the engel.. I think that two zone now make add ons for waecos as well.

Which way are you running your Evakool? I was originally looking at the 70lt version. Even the 47lt version is specified as 725mm long (I'd have 650mm max)

    Am I missing something?

The Two Zone is a fantastic idea, never heard of them before.

Size wise Im now looking at possibly a 40lt Engel.

On seconds thoughts do you run the evakool with motor side behind rear seat to take up space of the seat angle as motor sits lower and by doing this you able to fit the 47lt?
