    Recaro seats

I just fitted 2 recaro front seats out of a RRC they are the ones with the air bladder that you can adjust for lumbar support - just bloody brilliant even if they are second hand

    Blythe,

Nothing better than a decent seat, I got a pair of near new Stratos Suspension seats with armrests etc recently, kept 1 and sold the other to a Disco owner with lumbar issues, he's very happy now

    I love mine too

I could do with those, how did they fit?
Did you have to cut the raised section for the suspension?

Do you happen to have a pic, I like to do that.
Seats in the Disco is crap, I and others I carry always slide off the leather and the seat is too short too.

I also want to put a better driver's seat in my Disco. I made enquiries to fit an Isringhausen suspension seat but the distributor said "our seats are for vehicles over 4.5t GVM" and hung up.

I reckon I'll end up getting the ones ARB carry and they can do the fitting.

Owing to the fact that I am a total Neanderthal when it comes to posting photos - I will try.

had to make brackets as the RRC seat track is wider than the DI, now that I know that if I did it again I would simply buy the best seats i could afford and do what ever to fit them. Brackets weren't hard, the track of the RCC seat is about 60mm wider than the DI so I used 30mm by 5mm flat bar (hugely over engineered) as a spreader bar to go across with holes drilled to fit the DI and about 30mm wider to fit the RRC.

I have a Paratus seat by ARB ($1600) very comfortable but a Real pain in the arse (literally) getting in and out the door side seat squab side bolster is too high.
I am going to modify mine and take about 2" off, Regards Frank.

these ones have the arm rest as well, make for very comforable driving. also while it is harder to get in and out of due to the lip on the side of the seat by hell it keeps you locked in.

i sort of thought about seat suspension but under the seats i keep a heap of stuff os descided not to.

i might not be as old as some of the other disco drivers on here, but i found suspension seats annoying as hell.
