I'm pretty happy today because the 200tdi is back on the road and now you blokes have to listen to my story.
The clutch all of a sudden offered no resistence when I put my foot on it. I bled it and it came good for a week but then packed up again. I bled it again but this time it didn't work. Time to fix the real problem.
I figured that the slave cylinder would be a good place to start. I got a new one and went about fitting it. Because I'm an idiot I ended up threading the connection between the slave and the the metal pipe that goes into it. Great that will cost me an extra few bob I'll have to get another slave and a pipe.
Not so easy. You can't get the bloody pipe anymore.
The pipe for the 300tdi is similar but they changed the thread on one end. So what I had to do was get a 300tdi slave and I was able to get a 300tdi pipe and then I could put it all in.
After initially putting it in with the bleed nipple on the bottom and not being able to bleed it I reinstalled it the correct way, bled it and now the clutch works.
Happy as Larry.![]()
