I am yet to pickup my new (read "old 1994") D1 and have been scouring the net for an "economical" set of roof bars or a luggage basket. I have a problem though... I dont know how wide the gutters are. Can someone help me with this?

I guess that the mounts have to be fairly high aswell. Can someone tell me what the minimum clearance, leg length (or hwatever the correct term is) for the racks or mounts?
