all ye who have gone before me
300tdi disco, is the main belt tensioner pulley bearing the same size as the aircon belt pulely tensioner?
also, water crossings and washing the disco,damp water marks in the drivers footwell only. it appears as a line of dampness along the rear of the vinyl insert in the floor carpet. where's the likely leak and is there a rubber seal of some sort around the gear levers/body in the transmission tunnel.

check your drivers door seal they sometimes get warn away from people draggin there feet when getting out the car...if it is this can let water in.

used to happen on mine..otherwise I would be checking for rust in the fooot well..(lift up all your carpets..failing that are you sure its water??? could be your heatercore has sprung a leak or your airconditioning drain is blocked (although I think it may effect the passenger side more then the drivers..)

and I think both bearing are the same if your talking about the pulley that is situated almost below the air con pulley

Both are 6203 bearings, are common and cost around the $10 mark from virtually any car shop.

Make sure you get bearings sealed on both sides, and if you want better quality ones go to a proper bearing shop and get high temp ones.
