2 days then
day one should see the engine or gearbox out (whichever way you want to go) and the new clutch bolted up
day two should see everything back together and running.
I suggest that you make day one a thursday and friday evening job (2 1/2 days)so that you have access to some parts suppliers for minor things that you havent thought of (broken bolts/spring washers/loctite.sealstics facia clips wiring connectors yada yada yada) on saturday and can then take your SO for a dinner out in return for being a grumpy bugger for the last 3 days.
Trust me on that last bit.
before you even think about starting Buy the RAVE Cd rom and peruse the sections relevant to how your going to go about it throughly.
If your going the engine out routine remove the bonnet first and take the radiator out and flush/rod it, and standby to properly bleed up the PAS, might as well degrease it and service it while its out too.
my personal record for a clutch change (and this was a series) without a full workshop is 6 hours
clutch change in a disco with a full workshop 4 hours (2 people on spanners with a 4 post hoist and a proper trans jack)
