    97 disco 3.9 v8 stuck in drive and 3rd

    cant move it to park or anything no warning lights flashing any ideas

    Your lock button on the selector is broken? Try lifting the console top and have a look.

    Use a small screwdriver to carefully prise the top of the auto shifter off.
    Look inside.
    Refit circlip that will have fallen off.
    Refit top of shifter.
    Fixed.

    Another possibility is that something has fallen down into the gear selector mechanism.

    Again you need to pull the top of the t-bar off and the PRD321 panel to get it out.

    My son did this to me in my D1 when he was about 3 and playing in the car at home. Came out and went to drive it and couldn't select any gears. Found about 10 coins down there jamming the selector.
